ALTER & PROXY POLICY: Altered Cards: Artistic modifications may not obstruct or change the mana cost or name of the card. Artistic modifications may not change the card's art to become the art of another Magic the Gathering Card. Artistic modifications may NOT contain substantial strategic advice, disparaging remarks, or contain offensive images. Altered cards are expected to have thickness consistent with an un-altered card. Altered cards will be considered MARKED CARDS if they are easily differentiated from the rest of the deck. If you are uncertain about the legality of your Alter, please ensure you are at the venue early to allow a Judge to confirm.
Artist Proofs: Artist proofs must be played with their official "card side" displayed. Artist Proofs are expected to have thickness consistent with the rest of your deck. Artist proofs will be considered MARKED CARDS if they are easily differentiated from the rest of the deck. If you are uncertain about the legality of your Artist Proof, please ensure you are at the venue early to allow a Judge to confirm.
Proxied Cards: All proxied cards must be clearly identifiable as a proxy, with name and mana cost easily legible. "Paper Slip" proxies are not allowed at this event; it is expected that any proxied cards would be consistent in size, thickness, and feel of a Magic Card.
WOTC MDFC Placeholder Cards: Players may utilize up to 10 blank WOTC MDFC Placeholder Cards in lieu of a proxy or a real card. If a player wishes to utilize WOTC MDFC Placeholder Cards, the name, mana costs, type, power/toughness, and any other oracle text (or as much that can reasonably fit), must be written legibly.
Our Head Judge will have final say over any alters, proxies, or WOTC MDFC Placeholder Cards. In the Event you are unsure your card is legal, please email support@fantasyforged.ca with the subject "Canuck Clash - Proxy/Alter Check"
